This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

Relic's Pyrrhus - Reins Corrected
Here is the figure with the reins correctly placed; the base is also completed.
Here he is compared to the 29mm Relic Antiochus the Great figure.
Eventually I will have to get an Alexander the Great figure too.
Nice work Dean, I particularly like your treatment of the horse. I've been trying to resist moving into things Pyrrhic but seeing miniatures like these and Aventine's range is testing my resolve. Best Regards HGA
Beautifully done! I'd also agree that you've done a magnificent job with the horse. Look forward to reading of his feats in battle! Just out if interest, does Relic do a 'substitute Pyrrhos in normal cloak and helmet' for Heraclea? ;-)
Thanks for the kind words; at present, I don't think Relic does another version of Pyrrhus. You might want to see what Aventine has - maybe not a Pyrrhus specific character, but a figure that may look appropriate. Regards, Dean
It's been far to long since i last visited wow these are amazing your figures are so so impressive love the detail and shading and the basing is so nice

Thank you kindly, Gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteHGA: I agree, these new Macedonian/Successor ranges really are great, and compliment existing good ones, like Foundry. Regards, Dean
