Japanese Oni By Adaevy Creations

This is a resin printed oni that I found on ebay. Painted him blue to contrast against the red Reaper Bones oni painted a while back. Might use him in a Dragon Rampant warband.

A nice figure which comes with the detailed base. The kanabo/tetsubo is appropriately large.

Pictured below with a TAG samurai and a Reaper Bones oni for comparison.
Just a quick little painting project. Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all the best.

Reaper Bones Oni

Picked this up at a local gaming store for under $5.00; well actually a little more after our state 10% sales tax. It's made out of a soft plastic - not unlike old Airfix figures. The club was a little bent from the packaging, but easily reshaped using hot water, followed by a rinse in cold water to set it. I planned to use it as a Lesser Warbeast in a Dragon Rampant warband. Hopefully pick up some more Japanese mythical creatures.
This is actually my first Reaper Bones model, but at the price, I plan to get a few more.
I'm not normally into painting gory stuff, but the eyeballs on the wristband looked appropriate for this guy.
The skulls on the belt give him a very GW flavor!
A couple of TAG demon hunters for scale. Hope to find more Oni as I want to paint some up in blue and green. On the gaming front, I'm signed up to attend a Lion/Dragon Rampant game day/tournament next Saturday. Best wishes to you all!

Redoubt Dendra Dudes

Well, these six have been sitting around for awhile; I ordered them from Miniature Service Center when they were clearing out their stock of Redoubt several years ago. I had intended to use them as chariot warriors, and may still do, but for now they are palace guards. I replaced their lead spear shafts with brass rod - sturdier for gaming. I also carved off their shield strap and Green Stuff'd the left pauldron where the strap had been. Painting was straight-forward as I decided to give them uniform colors - they were then given a Minwax Tudor Satin stain. The bronze is a mixture of Vallejo Bronze & Copper (about 50:50) some gold and silver added as highlights before the stain.
Here they around the hearth protecting the king and his ladies.
And halting an uninvited Herakles and friends at the door.
Now cornering Medusa - they soon turned to stone.
Happy Mother's Day. I need to call my brother later today in Hawaii, my 80 year old mom had flu-like symptoms and was taken to the hospital late night their time.

Chiron and Medusa

Still waiting on the Old Glory and 1st Corps orders; decided to paint up these mythological characters
Got these awhile ago off of ebay from Miniature Giant for about $1.00 each.

They join an earlier completed Pan (also from Miniature Giant), and a Reaper Hercules.
I actually ordered two Medusas; and used one - we'll just her head - for a Mycenaean standard.

Incidentally, it seems I can't upload images like I used to. I now have to go to HTML mode to get them in. Hope it corrects itself later, I'm not used to seeing all this computer script.

Pan

I think this figure is from Miniature Giant - I won it off of ebay a few years ago and forgot who made it. I'll post the maker once I find out for sure. Anyway, I needed an Oracle for my Greek army and until I get a suitable figure - like the Foundry guy sacrificing a goat - this guy will have to do. He'll pretty much just be the marker where I'll put a D10 (or two) with the Oracle points that are rolled - and track it from there.
I have a nice Hercules figure, as well as a Medusa and Centaur that need to be painted someday too.
