This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

Perry Napoleonic Russian Infantry - WIP
Managed to put together and prime 10 24-man battalions. Of which, three are combined Grenadiers battalions - one each in 1809 and 1812 kiwer, and one Pavlovski as well. The other seven line infantry battalions are in both kiwer as well (3 in 1809 and 4 in 1812). Most will be in summer white gaiter-trousers; but I might paint a couple up with winter black gaiters for variety-sake. I'm still debating if one will be Jaeger in winter uniform with green trousers.Just wanted to post a quick update to show you where I'm at on this project. Best wishes to all and hope you all are having a great start to 2021.

10x24 man battalions? Dean, you never do anything by half measure!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Jonathan. Yes, this is a fairly big project, but not too complicated. Might get tedious though. :) Kindest regards, Dean

Lol! Thanks a lot, Iain. Hmmm, end of February...sounds like the gauntlet has been thrown down. :) Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteI looked at this and went "my God!". My paint brushes next to me stated to quiver and whine. I had to tell them steady boys, I won't be heading you down that path.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though Dean I am tired just thinking about having to have had to assemble those all much less paint them. This will be a fun one to watch, which I am sure we will see them all painted and completed by next week at the latest!
Cheers
Kevin

Deletehow do you do it??? :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to just get engrossed when painting - listening to YouTube podcasts about unsolved mysteries, etc. And a constant flow of light beer and watered down wine. :) Kindest regards, Dean
