Just a few additions for the La Haye Sainte scenario. These guys came to the assistance of the KGL troops in the farm house.
If you overlook their minor uniform changes, like the grenadier wings instead of epaulettes, they could be used for Peninsular as French troops.
They're based in pairs as they'll be used as skirmishers.
For the Peninsular, you could say they're using captured British canteens.
Lovely uniform and the grenadiers' colpacks are just too cool. Thank you very much for your interest and stopping by. Good gaming and painting to you all! Stay healthy and virus-free!
Fantastic work Dean, the grenadiers are very colourful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mike! Yes, the colpack cords and bags really are a nice contrast to the overall green uniform. Kindest regards, Dean

ReplyDeleteThanks, Dmitry! Yes, I've been giving my figures brighter (louder) colors than I had in the past; especially with the highlights. Easier to see on the gaming table. :) Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteDude those look very nice. This may sound weird, but I once had a dream about Nassau troops in those green uniforms crossing a river in a boat and disembarking to attack the side of the river I was on. It was so vivid and real like, I've never forgotten about it. That has to have been some 30 plus years ago.
ReplyDeleteShades of Patton and believing in reincarnation and having lived as a soldier in other periods... OR I was extremely under stress at that time in my life and really super into an escape from real life problems.
Told you it was weird.
Cheers
Kevin
Wow! That's some cool dream you had, Kevin. Impressive - my dreams are usually about not being able to find where I parked my car or missing a flight or something along those lines. Kindest regards in any case! Dean
