Finally got figures in the mail yesterday, having returned to Florida after initially arriving at Seattle a week and a half ago. My address was correct on the package, so not sure why it did a roundtrip back and forth. I replaced a few of the heads with Warlord Games ones - to give them a more "Landsknecht" look. I also carved off some of the details of the boots so I can paint them up in the traditional looking shoes.
This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

3D Printed Resin Landsknecht Artillery Crew - WIP
A couple of Warlord Games figures added to have 3 crewmen for each of the 4 guns. The right arm is for a drummer, but will be painted as the fuse stick (or whatever its called). Below image is what the resin figures look like on the website.
Glad these figures finally arrived so I can paint them up and finish the artillery bases. Our bathroom is just about finished - just waiting for the shower glass to arrive and be installed next Tuesday. After that, it'll be time to finally host a game at the house. Thanks for visiting, and hope you all are doing well.

Really great 3d's!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michael. I've been pretty satisfied overall with the few 3D resins I've ordered - including the 120mm Mycenaean warrior. Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteVery nice looking 3d prints, they look amatonicly correct.
ReplyDeleteBetter than the offers of 3d prints for 18th century figures.
They always look strange around the shoulders to my eyes.
Willz.
Thanks, Willz. I did have some French Napoleonic artillery that I returned due to the cannon being way oversized - particularly the wheels. Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteGreat looking prints. Them seem to compare well with the Warlord minis. Do you have the link for them?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard. The seller can resize them - I got them in 28mm - seems a match for most others. Here's the link to this particular seller on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/shop/ImperialMiniatures?ref=nla_listing_details&dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.etsy.com%2Flisting%2F1565656495%2Fhighlands-miniatures-sunland-artillery%3Fref%3Dyr_purchases He's in Florida, but there are other sellers with this same product in Europe too. Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteExcellent looking figures Dean, they will be fantastic once painted.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Keith. I had initially wanted either Steel Fist or Foundry, but they were either out of the figures (Steel Fist), or the shipping was too much. Kindest regards, Dean
