Here are the rest of the Warlord Games Landsknecht Looting Party figures. The one other figure from this set is the kneeling guy with bag of loot used in the earlier gambling vignette. They're mounted in pairs (well, one has a reluctant fräulein also) on 50mm round bases. They can be used as bling on the battlefield if nothing else.
Very nice figures which I'd put on the same level as Perrys.I also painted up several 3D resin print Landsknecht/Italian Wars cannon. These are from a seller on Etsy, and I initially had planned to use Steel Fist crew, but they've been shown as "out of stock" for awhile, and they may not be making them separately anymore. I ended up ordering crewmen from Etsy that could've been ordered along with the cannon before.I used illustrations from the Triumphs of Maximilian manuscript as painting guides. Of course, they could be used for WHFB Empire too!
Neat looting vignettes and the guns look great!

DeleteSplendid work on all items Dean. The guns look great. How do they match scale wise with the figures?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard! Sorry for the late reply, but they do size up very well with 28mm figs. I hope to show better comparison shots once I get the crew figs. Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteThose looting parties are a hoot! Warlords definitely made them very dynamic.
ReplyDeleteCheers

Thanks, Kevin. I think these sculpts were part of the original ones when they were to be released under Pro Gloria. Warm regards, Dean
DeleteAs the saying goes, when you're not paid enough, you have to take matters into your own hands! These are brilliant additions to your collection. The guns look fantastic, and I will be getting them for my army. I haven't done any research yet, but it seems that gun barrels were painted back then, based on the engravings you've posted. Verry interesning!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bartek! I think you'll like the guns, they look very Renaissance period. Kind regards, Dean
