Litko Horde Trays - Dilemma Solved

Taking advantage of FRP Games' sale on Litko stock I picked up a couple of packs of horde trays at a 40 percent discount. I also ordered some magnetic inserts for the trays. The packs come with 8 variously shaped trays that hold 5 25mm diameter bases each. The total of 80 figures is enough for most skirmish games intended, including Bolt Action, Muskets and Tomahawks, as well as skirmishers for Hail Caesar and the like. Here are various figures based on metal washers which complement the magnetic inserts. I had pondered the thought of rebasing these singly-based figures as I dislike moving individual figures in games, so this solved the dilemma very effectively.
A gratuitous photo op to be sure, but since I've not posted in some time it felt a bit obligatory. For the record, I'm very pleased with Litko products - not only for the high quality, but the pricing as well.

  1. I shop at FRP as well and I like the sales. Have you ever had a problem with them taking a very long time with delivery?

    1. Anne: I've had very timely shipping in my experience, but I am in WA State and I believe they are in California - so pretty much a straight shot up. In fact, this order took a few days longer because they had to get some of the magnets from their warehouse - but, that said, they were very good in keeping me posted with emails. Dean

  2. Nice bases! I was looking at some similar at a recent show sold by warbases very handy for moving squads and the like in skirmish formations.

    1. I always peruse the shots of your games, Paul; and see you multi-base your crew served weapons so thought it might be nice to see how squads can be moved simultaneously too.

  4. good looking bases/figures. I have shopped/ordered at FRP and they are a pain in the back side sometimes very slow with deliveries but very quick to accept payments!

    1. Thanks interesting to hear, Phil; I take it Anne has had the same experience. For some reason, I've always had good shipping - and you are in WA State too. Maybe I've just been lucky :)!

  9. Thanks everyone for the interest and supporting comments. They other plus for these is that I can use them for multiple periods and rules. Now I should be able to stop the madness of rebasing figures already on metal washers :) Dean

    1. Monty: I think I got the last two trays for 5 figures (25mm); but they should have other sizes still. Best, Dean
