Managed to add the red to the jackets and blue facings. Since I've decided to make this a Guards unit, the NCO will have gold lacing - including his rank chevrons - cool!
I'll give the red some highlights before the Miniwax stain; however I could just as well add the highlights afterwards.
To top off the day, a copy of Hail Caesar and the order of Litko bases arrived thanks to the Post Master General!
Nice work on the infantry, you must have a steady hand for all that red!
ReplyDeleteHail Caesar is a great set of rules, I'm sure you'll enjoy reading them.
You are really fast!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking great so far!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll hail the royal mail, just ordered some 20mm partisans/resistance and green stuff. I can't paint in those number, I would have to paint them in smaller batches.
ReplyDeleteFast work Dean and looking very good so far.
ReplyDeleteYou, Sir, are a one-man painting machine!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff!
Thanks for the great compliments! Once I get started painting,, it's sort of relaxing - sort of :)! Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteExcellent work...that red really pops.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the naps as usual. I saw that you just got your Hail Caesar rules, I just ordered Hail Caesar and the Roman Army deal "Legions of Rome" from Warlord Games. I hope to get them next week, what do you think of the Hail Caesar rules?

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments on the Naps. As far as HC, I've been reading through it - some variation to BP, as expected, but I do like the Command mechanism a lot for both systems. Plan to play a first trial HC game next weekend (after T'Day). Still unsure which existing WAB armies to use. Might even be Myceaneans with chariots. Best, Dean
