Stone Bridge from Hobby Bunker

Here's a good deal if you're looking for a nice sized stone bridge - picked it up from Hobby Bunker for $12.00 - less shipping, which is a flat rate of $6.00 in the USA (free for orders over $100.00 - again for the USA). Sorry my UK buddies, but at least you have all the great figure companies (that would be Eureka for the folks Down Under too). Anyway, here it is after I gave it a quick dry-brush of greys, followed by a Minwax stain and finally a coat of Krylon Matte. The finish is not as flat as Testors Dullcote, but Krylon is cheaper and as it is a gaming piece, it'll likely be handled a lot anyway. I may go over it again with a dry-brush to dull it down.
As it's advertised as 54mm, it is quite a good size: 10 1/4" x 4 3/8" x 2 1/2" with 1" arch; Just wide enough for a 1:48th scale King Tiger.
But just shy of 80mm wide - not quite enough to have two stands based for Black Powder to go side by side.
Still, quite a bargain, I think.

  1. good price for a good looking bit of terrain, I guess this will appear on the SPR table you are making ATM
    Peace James

  2. Thanks, James. Yes, that is the bridge Tom Hanks needs to drag Private Ryan over for Victory Conditions. Best, Dean

  3. Great looking bridge Dean but most important - its scaled to handle 28mm - although I reckon it'd be straining under the weight of that Konig Tiger!

  4. very nice it is to and will get a lot of use in different settings.

  5. a good accessory!
    nice painting work.

    perfect, in fact!

  6. Appreciate your thoughts on this piece of terrain. I search serveral sites for a bridge like this (size and style), but either they were out of stock and/or double or more in price. It's made of injected high-density foam and quite durable too. Best, Dean
