Foundry SYW British Grenadiers - WIP +1

Added some more paint to these guys. Worked on their mitre caps and some the piping.
The Minwax should sharpen stuff like the cap plate details later.  Not having much knowledge about this period, I'm curious as to why the officer's and drummer's caps are different from the rest of them. Also wonder why the NCOs have tricornes instead of mitres.

  1. it's always impressive, how fast you complete your projects! i need weeks, month and years to achieve this output. :-)

  2. You've just started and they're looking gorgeous. You must be an exceedingly neat painter to do the white piping first and bring in the color around it, leaving just a hint of black.

I'm always struck by the variety of styles painters use. I find yours fascinating and I appreciate the WiP shots.

  3. Thank you for the kind words, Gentlemen. I wanted to show the step-by-step process of this painting approach. It one I picked up from a fellow gamer here in the Pacific NW (Doug Hamm up in B.C.). I like using it for uniforms with lace and piping. Warm Regards, Dean
