Ii Naomasa in 120mm - WIP

Just started on this 120mm resin figure. Another ebay purchase made many years ago - before getting into wargaming, which ended up forgotten about for too long. This kit has a few more parts than the Vlad one, but still shouldn't be too much trouble as most of the figure will be in "Red Devil" armor and a spray can of Testor's red should speed up the process. The horns are from another kit that was cut in half and slots for them were made into the sides of the helmet of this kit. Just something to work on before the 2mm Irregular Romans arrive. I also ordered a pack of Crusader Retiarii for the Gladiator game to add some variety.
Perry 28mm figures in the image above for scale comparison. Updates to follow. Thanks for visiting.

  1. The Perry fig looks great, even from a distance...! I´ll sure be back to see the wonders you´ll perform on that impressive Samurai. Meanwhile, I´ll re-re-re-watch some of Kurosawa´s works ;) Cheers!

    1. Thanks, Jonathan. I think I have the approach thought out - plan to spray the main armor areas with the red, then give them a wash of sepia to not only bring out the details - like the lacing, but also give it a darker overall look and a sheen. Best, Dean
