Imjin War Re-Basing Project - WIP

Planning to use Hail Caesar rules for an Imjin War game, I decided to re-base all of the Old Glory Japanese Ashigaru and Perry Choson Korean infantry onto Litko 40mm square bases. All of the figures were formerly based on metal washers. Here are the the Perry Koreans, less the archers, stuck onto the bases with acrylic caulking.
As I'm providing both sides for the game, I based some 3-figures per and some 4-figures per base. This not only eased raking up the figures, but stretched out the size of units. The archers (and ashigaru teppo) will all be 3-figures per. Now, I'm off to get a hair cut ,and then lunch with the missus. I usually get a hair cut every two months or so, whether I need it or not :)

    Rebasing: always a good way to renew a project and get a new perspective on an existing project. You are making good progress. I have a rebasing project of my own underway.

    Looking good Dean and I generally prefer multi basing to single basing with only some exceptions.

    They look great, I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this project. I have always been fascinated with the Japanese incursions into Korea, but haven't found Korean figures I like in 15mm.

    Huh... you can't use movement trays in Hail Caesar? I haven't seen it yet, but had kind of assumed it might be like Black Powder in that basing wasn't so... prescribed?

    Tim: Yes, they could just as well have used movement trays, but I liked the idea of them on stands, and plan to use these figs primarily for Hail Caesar.

    I don't think the Perry Bros are capable of making a bad figure - these look great.

    So when the basing is complete, I trust that you will regale us with a full report of their next battlefield outing...?
