Based the new figures - three per 40mm squares. This is the way I've based figures in the past for Lion Rampant - casualty counters used for tracking. I find it easier to move, store, and transport the figures this way.
They can be in either 12 or 6 figure units. As mentioned in the earlier post, I really like the figures from this range. Interestingly, they can be used pretty much up to the late 19th Century. There was even a clash between Joseon troops and French Naval Fusiliers (aka Marines) in 1866.Here they are below along with their earlier painted brethren.Along with their Ming allies, these should be enough for a siege against a Japanese wajo someday. Thanks for stopping by and checking out the blog.
Very cool! Are you using less Minwax or a different color of stain?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jonathan. Using a new can of Minwax from Amazon. It does seem to be a bit less dark though. Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteBeautiful job as usual Dean, they look excellent!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your kind words again, Keith! Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteCracking troops Dean!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Mike! Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteThey look nice Dean. I'll also be using casualty markers for my Pikeman's Lament games (once I managed to paint all the non-causalty figures).
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Andrew. Appreciate your kind words and visit. Best wishes on your Pikeman"s Lament project. Warm regards, Dean
DeleteThey literally swarmed of the painting desk Dean..nicely done. Many of our lion rampant games are multi based these days much easier to move around the table 👍
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Matt. A lot of my buddies who play Rampant games have used the 3-2-1 round basing system. I just like the squares as they can be used in other games like Hail Caesar - and store and transport easier too, IMO. Best regards, Dean
DeleteWow Dean, that's some production line!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you don't have elves held captive in the basement churning them out? ☺
Neil
Thanks a lot, Neil! No elves - well, none that I'll admit to the INS. :) I'll just say the Minwax does most of the work. Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteAwesome work as always Dean!
ReplyDeleteThanks for you kind words again, Michal! Warmest regards, Dean
