Added a few decals and bling items to, dare I say it, pimp my ride.
GW fans will note the sword bearing griffons on the rear mounts are from the Fantasy Empire Watch Tower kit. They are pegged with brass rod and removable.
The two placards on the front glacis are from the Space Marines Command Squad kit. They are attached with blue tack and also removable.
The arrow decals are also from the Command Squad kit - for shoulder guards, I think. The skull and caution stripe decals are from the Land Speeder kit, IIRC.
So, it is pretty much complete except for a storm bolter - which I'll likely get off of ebay someday.
Great work as always Dean

Fantastic Dean - all the more satisfying when you get it for cheap on ebay and are able to customize it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I don't normally like the profile on the old rhino and no matter the paintjob my opinion stands firm. But this is something else mate...

A couple of those griffon 'hood ornaments' would look great on my old VW. Full size of course.
ReplyDeleteNice work HGA.
If it was an Imperial Guard Griffon, we could have done the whole Xzibit thing; "Yo Dawg, we heard you like griffons, so we put some griffons on your Griffon so you can griffon while your Griffon is griffin'."

For someone who professes to be new to the whole 40K thing, you're pretty darn good at blinging up the hardware - well done!
Very *bling* *bling* Dean! Nice work!

ReplyDeleteThank you all for the accepting the bling factor. Appreciate your continued visits to the blog - although I know 40K isn't the cup of tea for many. Warm Regards, Dean
