This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

Perry French Egyptian-Syrian Campaign Infantry - WIP
A few skirmisher from various demi-brigades just given a wash of Minwax stain.
Here they are prior to the stain with a basic block paint job.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you're all doing well.
Nice work! Out if interest what do you think of the Wargames Atlantic figures? I was thinking of getting some of their Napoleonic Prussians for economical Hungarians/Landwehr? Best Iain
Thanks, Iain. I've only gotten their WW1 French & German, and WW2 Italian sets. They are all in more or less "active" poses, and look good. The WW1 Germans looked like their arms were overly large compared to their bodies in online images, but in-person look fine. The other two sets are nice too. The Napoleonic Prussians are in marching poses, so probably would work well with other 28mm sets. I'd say give them a try. Kindest regards, Dean
Markus - they are supposed to be 88th Line (Demi-Brigade). The Osprey book says their coats were either Violet or Crimson. The 13th Demi-Brigade also wore purple coats, but with brown cuffs and turnbacks. Warmest regards, Dean
Great progress !
