Hope you all are having a great last day of the year. Anyway, just put together the two boxes of Perry cav - Allied (Prussian/Russian) Cavalry 1812-15 and Russian Uhlans 1812-14. Managed to build five 8-figure units consisting of two Russian Dragoons, and a unit each of Prussian Dragoons, Prussian Landwehr Uhlans, and Russian Uhlans. The Landwehr Uhlans use lance arms from the Russian Uhlan set, as well as spare French Hussar horses - six from a Perry set and two from a Warlord Games French Lancer sprue that a buddy gave me awhile back - I think it was a sampler in a Wargames Illustrated.
Great work, please tell us it took more than a day to assemble these. I have the same boxes down in the cellar to make a similar force.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joe. Yes, a couple of days for all of these. I built the Landwehr last, to see what parts I has. Luckily I had those spare French light cavalry horses. Warmest regards, Dean
DeleteBTW best use of Jenna blocks I have seen recently.
ReplyDeleteLol! My wife bought them for my sons when they were little, but don't think they played with them except for a few times. Luckily we kept them all these years. 😀
DeleteHappy New Year to you Dean...halfway through 1 Jan here in sunny Aotearoa 🌞 Great looking cavalry but I do prefer the Perry horses with the full base!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keith! Yes, the two Warlord Games horses were the two more needed as I only had six of the Perry ones left. Saves me from ordering more...for now, anyway. Happy New Year!
DeleteGood builds and a Happy New Year Dean!
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Cracking stuff Dean - Happy new year.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Dean!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see how these paint up!
That's a lot of cavalry to paint; are they done yet?
