This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

Cavalcade Ming Armored Swordsmen - WIP
Minwax stain applied over a basic block paint job. Only used a few colors the armored coats and clothing. Awaiting an ebay order of "Mongol" wicker shields for them.Nice figures with enough nice details to make them paint up well enough. They could be used for Joseon Koreans too, I suppose.I should also be getting an order of Perry Koreans in the mail today too. Mostly more archers and several cavalry to up their unit to 12 figures.
Great work Dean...that Miniwax really does make your figures pop...I particularly like the effect on the faces!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Keith. Yes, I rely heavily on the stain. It's pretty much the only way I tackle batches of figs. Too lazy to spend too much time painting the more traditional ways. Kindest regards, Dean
DeleteOutstanding work Dean. The figures really pop.
