This site was created late in 2008, just a few years after first becoming involved in wargaming. As you can tell by the name, WAB was my introduction to this community. I appreciate the following and comments this blog receives, and give all thanks and credit to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It may seem odd that this blog appears to focus on the folly of mankind's continuous warfare, but I believe I can still enjoy this hobby so long as I put Him first in all I do. Maranatha!

120mm Napoleonics - Revisited
I did some dusting of the cabinets with my large scale figures, so figured I'd take a group photo of the 120mm Napoleonics I painted a long time ago - before I got into 28mm gaming figures. These are all Verlinden resin kits except for the guy with the colors painted up as the 4th Swiss made by a company called Dream Catcher (probably out of business by now). Note the four 28mm Victrix guys in the center.
Let's see if I can remember who they are; from left to right: Sergeant Major, Legere Voltigeur ; Sergeant, Foot Dragoons (rear); Sergeant Major, Guard Grenadiers; Officer, Chasseur a Cheval of the Guard; General Jean-Joseph Ange d'Hautpoul (rear on horse); Trumpeter, Train of Artillery; Officer, 4th Swiss (rear); Sergeant Major, Line Grenadiers; Officer, 1st Polish Lancers (rear); Colonel, Carabiniers (rear on horse); Sapper, Guard Chasseurs; Officer, Lieb Hussars. The British are noticeably absent for some reason.
Just felt like sharing some eye-candy as I've not painted anything recently.
They sure do look nice Dean!

DeleteReally well done. We had a fellow in the club who painted a lot of 120mm figures, and they do have a certain appeal, don't they? I have a few Verlinden kits that I should break open. You have inspired me, sir!
