Either that or use a stain with more of reddish tint would work. I think it was worth the effort - which really wasn't too bad. I use a thin wash of Games Workshop Brown Ink(after painting all golden, bronze , brown and red parts). Sadly, GW
discontinued this color but Coat d'arms Brown Ink works fine too.
The Celtic shields looks great!
Best wishes
WolfgangAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1561181956134839079.post-13315159653153453142011-04-03T04:40:34.147-07:002011-04-03T04:40:34.147-07:00Your shields look great. If I'm painting plastic Romans, I'll also leave the shields on the sprue to make them easier to handle.

Your combination of painting output and superb quality is unmatched.

Milesjmilesrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17961624317410579611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1561181956134839079.post-6163762372362422272011-04-02T23:20:22.849-07:002011-04-02T23:20:22.849-07:00Fantastic shields, thank god for LBMS, I wouldn...Fantastic shields, thank god for LBMS, I wouldn't fancy painting them !!Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1561181956134839079.post-91722979668393126892011-04-02T12:43:44.333-07:002011-04-02T12:43:44.333-07:00Excellent stuff but those shields are great lookin...Excellent stuff but those shields are great looking. The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.com
